Ninja Assasin

1 - I have free tickets. 2 - Joe Straczynski wrote it. So yeah, I'll be seeing it.

I might end up seeing this. Written by JMS... from the makers of Matrix and director of V Vendetta... of course the trailer looks incredibly bland and generic. Still, I think this is a better in-theater pick than Old Dogs or The Road.

not all ninjas are assassins. Snake Eyes is a Ninja Commando. T'jbang is a ninja swordsman, Jinx is Ninja Intelligence, Nunchuk is Nunchaku Ninja, Dojo is Silent Weapons Ninja, Bushido was a Snow Ninja and Storm Shadow was just 'Ninja'

Storm Shadow could be called an assassin. He would definitely assassinate someone....

I am looking forward to this movie. My only hope is that is isn't too over the top like Shoot Em Up was.

In the GI Joe movie, didn't Storm Shadow kill the Baron, because he defied his one liner? "I told you I'd kill him if he touched you."

Setting fiction aside, Ninjas in ancient Japan performed many roles: assassins, saboteurs, spies, messengers, etc. The defining aspects of the ninja are stealth and a lower-class background (contrasted with the aristocratic samurai, who considered the work of the ninja beneath them).

Ninja simply put is just a title that reflects the discipline or training undergone by the bearer. much like more commonly known styles such as karate etc.
