I also agree off topic that while Frakes did a good enough job, another director might have done a better job. But a good director does not make a good film (see Nemesis, or Thunderbirds for instance).

Shatner gets a bad rap for TFF. Although a lot of what is "wrong" with the movie was his fault, a lot of it wasn't. Overall, I don't think the movie is as bad as haters insist. If Shatner had had another shot at directing, I'm sure he would have delivered in spades.

TVH and TFF are two of my favorites, so for me it's a toss-up.

If you go outside the TREK work, Nimoy hands down. The Good Mother and 3 Men and a Baby put him well over the top. Add TVH and you get 3 pretty good films that are completely different in tone. I wish he had done more films as a Director.
Shatner's Tek shows were mediocre TV work.

I know what you mean, and I have "rediscovered" TFF earlier this year after years of having a mainstream reaction to it.

I enjoyed TFF, warts and all.

I know what you mean, I think Shatner was a good director, (and I looooove Shatner overall. He's my idol.)

But I still have to go with Nimoy.

His films were executed better and had better results across the board.

...

Absolutely agree with all your thoughts here. :techman: :vulcan:
