I get the impression that she actually prefers the pace and opportunities of television work as opposed to movies. a lot of her movie roles are independents.

Damn, the hosts were annoying. The best part is when the host guy asks this stupid question, "when you got the part, did you think, 'oh crap, I'm on Star Trek' [like it's a bad thing]"? and Terry Farrell says "Fuck no! I had tears, I was like, oh my god, I'm Star Trek!".
If you think she's old enough to be your mom, you must be young. 40 isn't that old. She'd have to have had her kid when she was 14 to be my mom! 
Well to be fair, it's hard to be really articulate when you're put on the spot. It's like being interviewed for a job. Given the circumstances, I think they both conducted themselves very well.
As a businessman, my father has read many, many books about how to express yourself well when speaking to others since he's had to do so many meetings, negotiations, interviews, speeches, etc. and he STILL constantly says "uuhhh" every other word when he's talking to other businesspeople. It doesn't mean he can't express himself well. It's just the way he talks.
