Nicknames for Voyager's crew

Seven of Nine -- Seven of Mine (canon), Seven of DD, Seven of Boobs, Nik

Chakotay -- Plank

Janeway -- Lameway

^ Woah. I am so the anti-Seven, both physically and personally, that I never even noticed that my own name could be short for Anika.

-One very confused and surprised Nik-Chick

My brother used to call Seven, "Thirty-Seven Double-D of Nine," so Double-D sounds good to me! Or "Crazy Big Guns!" works for me, too! :guffaw:

Also, wasn't Janeway's first hairstyle called "The Bun of Steel"?

Red Ranger

Aren't Seven of Mine and The Tattooed Terror fanon rather than canon? :wtf:

"Seven of Mine" was what the drunken Kadi ambassador called Seven in Someone to Watch Over Me. "The Tattooed Terror" was what B'Elanna called Chakotay in Tsunkatse.

The Alpha Quadrant - Kansas
The the Delta Quadrant - Oz
The Caretaker/his array - the tornado
Janeway - Dorothy Gale
Tom Paris/Neelix - Toto
Tuvok - Uncle Henry
Samantha Wildman - Auntie Em
Chakotay/Neelix - Hunk/the Scarecrow
Harry Kim - the Cowardly Lion
Seven - the Tin Woman
Q - the Wizard of Oz
B'Elanna - Glinda, the Good Witch
Kes - the Good Witch of the South
Admiral Janeway - the Good Witch of the North
Seska - the Wicked Witch of the West
The Borg Queen - the Wicked Witch of the East
The crew - Munchkins
Kazons - Winged Monkeys
The Borg - Hammerheads
Species 8472 - Winkies
Voyager - the ruby slippers
The Borg city - the Emerald City (grey city seen through green-colored glasses)
Transwarp slipstream - the Yellow Brick Road

 Anybody who knows The Wizard of Oz better than I do (which is easily achieved - I had to do some research for this) please feel free to correct this list.
For instance, one interpretation says winged monkeys symbolize deported Native Americans, which would point out to Chakotay, but let's not be simplistic. It also applies to Neelix. Anyway, Winged Monkeys are villains and the Kazon have been wronged and enslaved by a more advanced civilization. That fits.
Oz could be the Milky Way (they are both divided in 4 quarters) and the Emerald city might be the Delta Quadrant. I have a slight problem with that. And Neelix... Ouch. Found it hard to place him. Some characters could play musical chairs with their Oz counterparts.
I believe that in the movie, Glinda, the Good Witch embodies the 2 good witches and the Wicked Witch of the West embodies the 2 wicked witches. But I had to place B'Elanna and her egineering prowess. The good witches are instrumental in getting Dorothy home. The ruby slippers come from the Good Witch of the South. The Good Witch of the North is elderly... etc., etc.

Tom Paris = Parasite, Flyboy, Helmrat
I never heard Paris called "Helmrat."
He gets called that by T/7 slash writers.

And I just chanced upon the reference, in Dragon's Teeth: "Be a good helmrat and find us the cheese", or perhaps "bring us the cheese" (dixit Janeway when flying through high speed space corridors, looking for an exit)

More canon:

Janeway = Madam Captain (dixit Q, I believe)

Caterina, actually. :)
I was unaware that Leonardo ever wrote her name down anywhere, and if he did, that it would be readily visible to the viewing audience. Perhaps you could provide the name and scene in the relevant episode? Since there are about three channels that show Star Trek every day in my area -- and Voyager is on 5 days a week, I'd like to know just which episode to pay careful attention to for this detail.

I've never seen such a spelling.
Then probably you have never been to Italy, where it's the standard spelling. You know, that real-life place outside of tv and where actual people like myself live in, and whose language the real-life Leonardo supposedly spoke in his time. :p I've no episode to point for reference, just a handy dictionary. ;)

I always thought it started with a "K" as well but considering igauna_tonante is in Italy I'll take his/her word for it. :)

Thank you very much, dear. :)
