This actually works. It's just missing the Eugenics Wars and Khan. I'm hoping its part of a Stargate/Star Trek crossover.

We can't really give cohesive thoughts if we don't know the whole picture.
I really think you should consider keeping the real and Stargate timelines intact and add trektech where necessary to make it star trek. After all, Stargate ended up with transporters and ftl starships in the end anyway.

Perhaps you did not read the timeline fully.
I read it. Here are the real timeline and Stargate timeline issues, and Trek issues, which aren't kept.
1) You have WW2 from 1935-41, it actually happened in 1939-45.
2) The Goa'uld ceased to be a threat in 2005 (at the end of season 8).
3) A nuclear war, such as WW3, would not last nearly thirty years. A total of five is realistic, one most likely.
4) If the US had starships, they would have been used to end the war quickly, not dismantled. It would be a waste of money otherwise.
The rest is subject to your own interpretation, it's your story. I'm just saying that if you want to keep it realistic, then keep as much of our real timeline as possible, and there are ways to get Stargate and Star Trek to work together - even if the timelines don't. It would be technology that could be fudged to fit, whatever best serves the story.
Yea, from a military perspective the whole "dismantle the starships" thing makes no sense. Why would they get rid of a very strong advantage over their domestic enemies? If anything, the U.S. using found technology would most likely come out way ahead in a third world war.
Also, on the WW2 thing, how could it have started 4 years earlier? Did Germany rebuild it's military faster in this timeline? Remember, WW1 ended more out of exhaustion on all sides than any side winning. Some historians even consider WW1 and WW2 to have been only 1 war with secession of hostilities in between.

Yeah, the World War 2 thing was actually a mistake on my part.
As for the starship issue, I personally wouldn't want to waste my resources on space exploration while we're blowing the hell out of each other. Also, I needed an excuse for Zephram Cochrane to do his thing, so that the stargate timeline converges with the Trek timeline. Let this pass, please. Nobody's perfect.

A more rational expectation would be for the starships to be repurposed for military use, not dismantled. vehicles that can accelerate to 1000's of miles per hour, can attack from outside the atmosphere, and drop troops anywhere on the planet are definitely assets not to be squandered.
I wouldn't trust anything from the historical archive screen. It was placeholder text and never meant to be readable, so it's just words. You could say that Earth has been in a constant world war since 1914 if you were going to take it to an extreme. As I said, it's your timeline.
A different way of allowing Cochrane to do his thing with the Phoenix is that the starships no longer had power/energy and were dismantled after the war for raw materials to help rebuild. That way, by the time Cochrane comes along with the warp drive, it is the only viable way of space travel, at least until we find more ZPMs or whatever. You could even fudge it and say that naquada mixes with antimatter to provide warp power.
I like that.
I was bored on a Sunday when I wrote this, which is why I posted the timeline on the boards to see what tweaks I could make, and this is probably the best idea you have here. Thanks!
