Nichols and Morrison roles confirmed

Seeing as the article says that Jennifer Morrison will be playing a pregnant Winona Kirk, does anyone else think that maybe that spy photo of Kirk in red was actually George Kirk? It's too poor quality to tell if it's actually Chris Pine, for all we know it could be the other guy.

No; they don't look that much alike. The spy photo isn't that bad - it's either Pine or his stand-in.

ENT's Andorians, Gorn (only one to top ENT's is Star Trek Online, and IDW's Gorn Spotlight), Tholians, Tellarites (actually a refined version of the background Tellarite from Voyage Home), and Orions kick TOS' butt!

:wtf:

LUG's Among the Clans is canon, In a Mirror Darkly's Defiant, and they used TNG's interior/exterior warp bubble effect.

How bad could ENT be?

... :breathe in:

The spy pick could be George Kirk. (flashback to Final Frontier, and Best Destiny).

Jennifer Morrison is Winona! :yippy!: (flashback to Voyage Home novelization) My wife just said

"%*%*$*#(*)#$*)*()#$#### that George!"

"Chris Hemsworth who is playing her husband George Kirk."

You know the rules...photoshop!

My wife just "made" me replace my Conrad Veidt as the Joker wallpaper with Rachel Nichols The Orion Tm. Damn you Trekmovie!

I preferred the makeup used on "Enterprise" to that used on TOS.

I saw "The Menagerie" in HD on a movie screen a few weeks ago, and Vina's face is clearly a different color and appears to be a completely different kind of makeup than that used on the rest of her body. Kind of jarring.

I can't believe that after seeing pictures of a girl in a bikini you're all arguing about the tint.

J.J. Abrams' Star Trek, a return to basics: Kirk, Spock, Enterprise, exploring strange new worlds and romancing green animal women. ;)

I don't think I could've said it any better myself!

This is going to be interesting seeing Jennifer Morrison in this role. I only recently came to be a fan of "House", and that series was the only thing I can recall seeing her in, period.

AS to Rachel Nichols in the role of an Orion slave girl, here's hoping a doctor gets called to the set while she's still in makeup.

Of course we know Vulcans come in many different colors.

Enterprise addressed this with the Andorians, and showed us they did come in different shades of blue. I see no reason the Orion's wouldn't come in different shades of green.

who is to say that Orions come in only one shade of green? is there a 'right' color for humans?

Obviously, it's been demonstrated there's more than one shade. I don't recall anyone disputing this.

The argument about the varying Orion skin colour is more of a makeup than a racial concern. There's all kinds of makeup, but not everyone likes all kinds, some may even find some varieties of makeup to be repellent. And that's how I view some varieties of the Orion makeup. Actually, that's most varieties.

Here's hoping that the upcoming film does a better job. ;)

Its going to be interesting to see Jennifer Morrison play Kirk's mom...I like the actress in "House" but not sure if I agree with the casting. Felt the same way about Winona Ryder being cast as Amanda but oh well I'll have to see how this goes. It'll also be interesting to see how all of this large cast plays out...

^^It wasn't about being a frog? He wasn't gay, he was dating a woman (Miss Piggy).
