Nicholas Brendon in trouble. Again

Few of the Buffy cast actually managed a good career afterwards.. most prominent would be Alysson Hannigan with How i met your mother and David Boreanaz with Bones.

Hannigan was in the American Pie movies at least, but went back to TV.
You say that like it's a bad thing. Lots of actors would kill for a seven-season run on a popular show like Buffy, and then a few years later, a nine-season run on a popular show like HIMYM.

With a long running TV Show you can make Friends who become Family.

With a Movie you make friends who will bury you in the desert if you can't keep your mouth shut.

This has been a trend for many A listers to try out a TV show.. they are usually of the shortened season variety (10-12 episodes) and are usually limited in scope to 3-4 seasons.

From what i read they like this format because it gives them more time to develop a character and give more time to the story, very valid reasons if you ask me.

TV is not the red headed stepchild it used to be and is attracting top talent nowadays.

Are you honestly telling me that Sara Michelle Gellar (THAT ####!) cancelled Buffy?

If she'd wanted to stay for season 8 that there would have been a season 8?

Did she cancel Swans Crossing as well?

Someone needs to throw dog poo at her house STAT.

You could blame Eliza Dushku instead, she was being lined up to do Faith the Vampire Slayer once SMG left, she turned it down to do Tru Calling instead.

I'd have rather have gotten another 3 seasons of Tru Calling.

A choppy start, but after Jason Priestly joined the cast that #### got smooth.

^ interesting, I may have to give that another shot someday if I ever have enough decades to get caught up in my TV backlog

Yeah, I'd have liked to see more, also reading what Doris Egan said they had planned for the rest of it it would have been interesting.

I don't think Tru Calling was ever going to get better. Priestly's character came off as a rather forced gimmick to me. It's sad, 'cause I'm desperately in love with Eliza. But that show went nowhere, man.

The Angel & Faith comics are fun, though.
