The ice was pink back then. They've since "de-colored" it in old video and pics, but let me assure you...it was PINK! Gordie Howe played in his eighth decade that year, the Rangers phased out their alternate "Super Awesome Rangers!" home jerseys and teams were forced to end their "Bikini Babes On Ice" promotions during intermission after teams tried to outdo one another and several teams had "Bikini-less Babes On Ice" promotions.

The only important thing is the best looking uniform in the NHL is that of the Montreal (first place in the East--yeah!!!) Canadiens. Actually voted as such by players in the NHL (also voted by NHL players as having the best fans).
