Not surprising, really. Teams, like any business, can be quite defensive when they believe that their copyrights are being used to promote a business that they have no relation with.

There's a car dealership in Pittsburgh that's had annual commercials starring the Penguins' Max Talbot. The Pens had last year's ad pulled because several characters in the ads were wearing Pens jerseys. The ad was remade without the Pens' logo on the jerseys and all was fine.

This seems strange to me. Unless the characters wearing those Pens jerseys were doing something bad in that ad, you'd think that the Pens would welcome the free publicity.
