NHL 2018-19: The Sharks Really Traded For Erik Karlsson?

Yuck - the Bruins are in the Finals. With any luck, they'll follow the pattern and get swept after sweeping...

I could deal with the Bruins if it wasn't for Marchand. The guy isn't a pesky rat; he and Tom Wilson are everything wrong with hockey. Their behaviour is atricious and dangerous and not "part of the game."

The Bruins have a lot of good, respected players like Bergeron, Pastrňák, Chara, Rask (who Bruins fans have now fallen in love with again after poking fun at his mental health time off earlier this season ), but I can't cheer for them with Marchand on their team.

Sorry tomalak, the Sharks bow out yet again. :sigh:

In the end they were just way too banged up. I have a gloomy feeling the Bruins will beat the Blues but I'll rooting for St. Louis all the same.

One thing is for certain. We're in for good, old fashioned playoff hockey. Both Boston and St. Louis are old-school defense and lots of hitting style clubs. I would give Boston a slight edge because of Tuuka Rask - but only a slight edge.

I haven't seen a lot of St. Louis, so I'm feeling more like, unfortunately, Boston will take the Cup. But I really hope they prove me wrong!

Yeah the Blues were the better team and when your top 3 guys are out of the line up, that's not a good sign of success. I'm actually looking foward to the offseason. 2 things I want to see happen (But I doubt) would be fire DeBoer, and get a better goalie than Martin Jones.

The Blues turned this into a real series last night - and not just because they won. They got rid of that deer-in-the-headlights look and stood up to Boston hit for hit. That was a pretty damned good hockey game.

The NHL Officiating has been a joke all playoffs long. I'm surprised they haven't blamed the Sharks for the trip last night, honestly.

Another Blues player got a 1 game suspension for a hit in game 4. This one didn’t even get a whistle on the ice. Frustrating.

Blues have been headshotting people all playoffs. There were a lot of headshots against the Sharks that went uncalled, yet because of the hand pass, the Blues got away with it.

I mean, it’s not all about the refs, but they’ve definitely been bad, and factoring into how the games go on the ice. Uncalled penalties, head shots, several injures players forcing them to play short handed, it’s not a good look for the product
