Cool NFL fandom map

Any thoughts?

Here's one based on actual responses from people entering their address and favorite team:

Of course, it doesn't look nearly as cool. ;)

They also really shouldn't have made the Eagles, Ravens, Jets, Giants, Redskins, and Steelers all shades of gray. Makes it really difficult to distinguish them (especially in areas like eastern Maryland and southern Delaware, where Redskins, Ravens, and Eagles all tend to overlap anyway.

^Unfortunately, I have a hard time seeing the Titans getting anyone all that great right now. This was a sub-par year for number of good HC candidates, and a lot of teams have already picked through them. The Titans are stuck sifting through the dregs now.

Jon Gruden? (He does have family in TN after all)

I'm sitting here praying that Adams calls Lane Kiffin.

:klingon: :scream: :klingon: I'll kill something if that useless piece of shit ends up back in Tennessee. If Adams does that, he can kiss his fan support goodbye.

I can't tell from the map, but is it admitting there are no JETS fans? :)

Looks like there's maybe something on Long Island that doesn't fit the Giants' picture, but that's it. Pretty sure I wouldn't attribute Long Island to the Jets, though...

They gave them Long Island. The only people I know off the top of my head from Long Island are Giants fans. That being said, I've never been able to figure out a geographic division between Jets and Giants fans.

Is Denver's fanbase really that widespread? I realize population density in some of those states is very low which might be the explanation.

I'd question the size of Denver's. Seems to me there's quite a mixed fanbase in a lot of the areas that are designated as Denver territroy. I'd also question the size of the Viking's territory. There's an awful lot of Packers fans in North Dakota (most who I know are Packers fans). I'm guessing the Dakotas have a pretty mixed fanbase as well.

Looks like this map hasn't had any of my fellow Steeler fans voting since my whole county in Pennsylvania is labeled as Bills territory. When in all actuality it's a 10:2 ratio for the Steelers to every Bills fan, and probably a 5:2 comparison to the Browns.

That's kinda what I was figuring..... "Denver territory" is overlapping a lot of places that have few people and no team to call their own.

Edit: In other news, Jeff Fisher is out as the Titans' head coach.

Bet no one saw THAT coming. I thought the goal was to jettison Young and keep Fisher, but now getting rid of them both? Have fun with your rebuilding years, Titans.
Actually, leaving was Fisher's call. The owner didn't even know it happened when he was asked about it earlier. I must admit I'm shocked.

go and look at the stuff the team put out last night and today.
it is being called mutual but there is a feeling that fisher was not getting support from bud and being forced into making certain decisions.
or not making them.
also it looked like fisher was facing a no win scenario with having to replace a qb in year with the crazy cba mess.

what suprised bud was that it leaked since they hadnt planned to make the announcement today.

even wyatt of the tennessean who seems to have a bat phone link to bud's belfrey thought it came across that way when he talked to him.

personally to me bud has delusional moments including his vision of vince young.

the only saving grace we might have is if some like the oline coach munchak takes over or greg williams takes over.

both have known bud a long time (munch is a former oiler even) though it almost might be a reason to turn it down.

really here in nashville we thought things were settled.vince gone fish around for at least a year.
then i saw the don banks tweet and my timeline blew up.
:p

one thing this season with continual meltdowns by vince and dinger dealing with an agressive form of cancer while still trying to coach seems to have aged fisher considerably.
dont blame him for wanting time to just go fishing.

i just hope we go down the path of the saints or the falcons and not a dark time like the team did when bud fired bum philips.

As I recall, Helena, Montana (where I attended college) showed more loyalty to the Vikings and Seahawks than they did the Broncos.
