Buffalo kicks a field goal, makes it, but a TO was called before the snap. Second feal goal: No Good.

Chiefs currently have the ball, currently within field-goal range. Chiefs, you're within field goal range. If you get to the fourth down you better damn-well kick the fucker.

Chiefs: FG. 30 yard att. Hooked. No good.

ARGHHHHHHHHH

The Redskins officially suck! :scream:

DET 37
WSH 25

Lions 23 pts in the 4th quarter!? :wtf:

That's the second time in a row the Redskins have lost in Detroit.

Also, I'm going to laugh so hard if the Bills go 0 - 15 - 1.

What the hell was that with McNabb at the end?

Washington down by 6 with 2 minutes to go, and they send in Grossman (who immediately fumbles for a Detroit touchdown)??

Is McNabb hurt? If not, that might be the stupidest coaching move I've seen all year.

We haven’t received an injury update out of Detroit, so effectively, McNabb was benched. He was still on the sidelines in a baseball cap, and didn’t appear injured.

:wtf:

We can’t wait to hear from Mike Shanahan post-game on this call.

:klingon: Yeah can't wait to hear this...

Given Buffalo's record and performance this was really a game that shouldn't have been this close or this difficult. Only one fucking touchdown? The game was seconds away from ending in a tie?! The only thing that saved them from losing was the a well-used timeout call threw a kicker off his nerve?

This wa a game they should've walked away from easily and could have if Haley didn't have hard-on for going for it on forth down when he's withing FG range. He plays like some kid playing Super Tecmo Bowl. Haley? Stop taking so many stupid risks. You could've won this game without a close-call OT. And, really, with Cassel's arm there should've been more completions on long passes. Wht the fuck happened here?

You won, but in my opinion bases on the what I saw you didn't deserve to.

I shudder to think what my blood pressure is right about now Trekker. God that was gut wrenching. I would have to quit watching football if every game was like that.

EDIT TO ADD: Mr. Pioli and Mr. Hunt REALLY need to have a talk with Haley about kicking FG's.

Detroit doesn't have a great record, but they aren't being given enough credit.... they really have played well this season and have been giving a lot of teams fits.

Same thing for the Bills.... I won't go so far to say they've been a decent team, but they've been causing problems for teams who are a lot better than the Chiefs. I wouldn't say this is something to be too upset about.

The Chiefs main problem today was their own coaching. Haley's dumb ass decision not to kick the FG in the first half DAMN NEAR cost them the win. Plus Weis was calling some really dumb calls like passing on 3rd and 1 when you have one of the league's top rated rushing offenses going against on the league's lowest rated rush defenses.

Somehow, some way, the players managed to overcome their own dumb ass coaching and still get the win.

The coaching in this game was just stupid. That Field Goal, when they didn't kick it, I knew would cost them the game and it nearly did. They're lucky that TO they called threw the kicker off his game a bit. Sheesh. I mean, risky is nice, Haley, but there's risky and then there's stupid.

Why go for it on 4 and 1 when you're well within FG range? The FG would pretty much be a sure thing! Instead you risk it for a first down. When you got the touchdown why did your lose your balls? Go for two, man!

From the same link, updated...

As expected, Shanahan faced a number of questions during his postgame news conference regarding his unexpected benching of McNabb.

Shanahan said Grossman gave the Redskins their “best chance to win” because of his comfort level and knowledge of the terminology in the two-minute offense, and that health wasn’t a factor in the decision. When asked how McNabb felt about the decision, Shanahan said, “He understands.”

“I don’t think any quarterback likes it, but you got to make those tough decisions,” Shanahan said.

What the fuck has he been smoking? Grossman gives you a better chance than Donovan McNabb? In what universe?

I'm sorry, but that's crazy.

Wow, I'm not a Skins fan, but that's absurdly dumb. McNabb is clearly the better comeback quarterback.

I'll also dispute the idea that he understands. He might not say anything about it, but I doubt he was happy with that decision.

In what universe does the Sex Cannon give your team a better chance to win than Donovan McNabb? That's as utterly insane as those San Francisco fans chanting WE WANT CARR a few weeks ago. Trust me, Shanahan, he doesn't.

Way to give my a Survivor Football heart attack, Kansas City. This is the second week in a row that Buffalo has scared me and the last time!

And my Lions won! It's great to see the team becoming a team again post Matt Millen.

Jets lose, Pats win, Squealers are down on SNF...please football gods, let New England be the only 6-1 team left after this week. I'd say be 7-0, but I remember how that turned out last time...

Your wish is their command...

Belichick is telling everyone to kiss off right now. And did anyone see Randy Moss' post game comments? Think he threw the Vikings under the bus? He sure misses the Patriots.
