NFL Talk - 2010-11 Season

Being in Chicago, I don't get to see much of the Falcons unless it's on SportsCenter or other highlights. How in the world did this team finish 13-3? Did they have the easiest schedule in the league (like the Bears)? They look more like a 3-13 team today.

Some teams just match up that way. GB has been on a roll for the most part.

Soo... let's assume things keep going the way they appear to...

If Seattle beats Chicago tomorrow, they'll host the NFC Championship.

On to the NFC Championship!

The Packers can't take Chicago or Seattle for granted, but I was a lot more worried for this game than I think I will be next week.

i love the steeler game the other just blow! just like 2 year ago Altanta play the az cards in the 1st game of the play off and get beat then too! history does repet lol

I gave up on the Packers/Falcons game at half time. Now from the other room where my brother's watching I hear it's 42-14 Packers..glad I stopped watching when I did. blow outs are boring.
Blowouts aren't nearly as boring to watch when your team is on the winning end of them. I thought the game was a blast.

Can't say I expected the Packers to do that. Hell, I wasn't even convinced they could win down in Atlanta. I just hope the Packers don't start thinking too much of themselves and go flat next week.

Go Seahawks!!

Btw I think it was embarrassing how the Atlanta fans left the stadium en masse long before the game was over (I think at the start of the 4th quarter the stadium was already less than half full); sure it must've been a bitter experience, I get that, but's that's part of being a fan too sometimes. I can't respect a fanbase like that.

^So you don't respect any fanbases then? I honestly can't think of any game I've seen where the stadium has stayed full when the home team looks like absolute crap and is getting pounded. And it's not even fun to watch, especially when it starts getting down towards the end and there's no hope of a comeback.

It's not true that that happens everywhere. Some people leaving ok, I guess that's inevitable, but last night there was almost nobody left midway through the 4th quarter (except the Packers fans I guess who were audible but not shown on tv).

Wrigley Field stays full, no matter what ;)

That's because by the fourth inning, everyone's too shithoused to care about what's going on.

I shudder to think how good GB would have been had they not had a slew of injuries. My money's on them beating whoever wins the Seahawks/Bears game tomorrow.

Oh, God, yes. I mean, they lost Johnny Jolly from the whole purple drank incident before the season even started, so that hampered the pass rush. They lost four linebackers to IR, along with their starting running back and tight end. Injuries decimated that team, and they've still been the hottest club in football since, oh, Week 15 or so (when they gave the Patriots a real run for their money).
