NFL Offseason '14: Wake me up when minicamps start

The numbers on the Dalton contract actually aren't bad. He gets $17 million guaranteed this year, but only $7 million more next year. Everything else is tied up in performance incentives, except for the playoff-related $19 million, which is going to come down to a lot more than just him.

It's honestly a pretty decent deal for both sides. Basically, if he turns into a superstar, they have him locked up, but if he shits the bed, they can cut him after one year with a minimal penalty to the team.

Good contract for an average QB and a good contract for the team.

The NFL is a collection of some of the greediest mother-fuckers I have ever seen.
Seriously. I just read this. Just how significant could even a mega successful act's payment be compared to what the owners make on the T.V. rigts, commercial time, mercahndizing, etc? Payment from an artist would have to be just a drop in a very large bucket to these guys.

As for the artists, I sure can see why they'd play the gig for free, but having to pay the NFL based on "future" concert earnings? Don't know about that one.

Pats have a need at TE if he wants to sign up and bust his own prediction. Makes a good amount of sense if he's interested, Pats also look pretty stacked this year. Improvements from last year's team, and getting back half a dozen pieces that were injured. And with a real defense, could be a serious run...

The Rams are privately believing that Bradford's ACL blew up again, meaning there's going to be a second season of The Shaun Hill Experience.

I'm so sorry, Rams fans. :(
