NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

yeah no kidding...for YEARS the NFL swore that they would NEVER partner with any sports betting companies...well....guess what....

A decade ago the NFL forbid Tony Romo from having a fantasy football convention inside of a casino, threatening to fine or suspend players who attend.

The NFL has always been in bed with gambling. Who do you think the injury report is for?

Well, that was a game. I laughed out loud on the two interceptions. That was pretty amusing. I thought the commentary about the defense winning the game by the commentators was equally amusing. Cris Collingsworth was complimenting the other fellow who was really fond of special teams on 'winning'. I did not expect the offense to be that delayed on winning the game. This was the first Super Bowl that I really did not have a dog in any fight. The one that I was looking forward was the Rams and Bears game some weeks ago, because I am a Packers fan. The whole season was topsy turvy. The commercials were not that great.

Someone said Darnold's TD was the first time a QB drafted by the Jets has ever thrown a TD in the Super Bowl (Namath didn't throw a TD in Super Bowl III).

Also, the first QB drafted by the Jets to win a Super Bowl since the moon landings.

Heard an interesting stat on Seattle sports radio this morning - Sam Darnold led the league in turnovers this season, was the first quarterback to go through the playoffs without a turnover.

I just read that the wedding during Bad Bunny’s halftime show was real.
That couple will be able to say something no other can: they got married at a Super Bowl halftime show.

Not really a fan of Bad Bunny's music, but that show was delicious nonetheless, because I can imagine a certain portion of the American population watching it and grinding their collective teeth in rage.

Considering the meat grinder they put Darnold through, I guess it's no surprise.

After the Super Bowl ended, Nike ran a Marshawn Lynch/Seahawks ad. I wonder who they got for the Patriots version that will never see the light of day.

I've seen people saying this is the "Revenge" Super Bowl.
That's incorrect.
Revenge would be the exact two teams with the exact same players meeting the following year, with the Seahawks winning.
This is over a decade later, and the players and staff completely turned over on both sides.

More James Pearce news:

Atlanta Falcons rookie James Pearce Jr. allegedly crashed his vehicle into one being driven by WNBA player Rickea Jackson multiple times and struck a police officer with the vehicle while evading arrest, according to the criminal complaint obtained by ESPN from the Miami-Dade County state attorney's office.

.....

Jackson, who plays for the Los Angeles Sparks, told police that she saw Pearce following her car in a white Lamborghini SUV on Saturday morning. When Jackson's car stopped at a red light, Pearce got out of his vehicle and attempted to open her car door on the driver's side.

Jackson accelerated away and started driving toward the Doral (Florida) Police Department. Pearce reentered his vehicle and continued following her. During the drive to the police station, Jackson said Pearce "intentionally collided into the rear of her vehicle" with his SUV. As she got to the intersection near the police station, Jackson said Pearce cut her off with his car and when she attempted to back out and get away, he used his car to collide with hers head-on.

Tell me about it. Though I will admit, the Clydesdales delivered. They almost always do.

But a lot of the 12's are the same, and I expect many found it incredibly satisfying.
