Was gonna joke about how the Chiefs saw what the Bears were doing and wanted in, but this has been going on for a while. The state of Kansas is trying to woo the Chiefs and the legislators will meet Monday to float hundreds of millions in bonds and sales taxes so they can build a domed stadium and entertainment district. The council will not be considering any deals with the Royals... yet. The Chiefs' lease with Jackson County, Missouri ends in 2031.

I just watched the highlights; so, I guess the Chiefs will play out the rest of the year with their third string quarterback and hope Mahome's is able to come back and play next year.
That doesn't address the problem that the Chiefs have an aging line that they need to draft for.
