NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

Wilson played a great game but had two major errors in overtime.

Somehow the Bengals won despite the Browning turnover machine. He matched all his INTs with TDs though.

I just watched the NY/Dallas highlights on YouTube.
I don't think Russell was the problem.
It was the Giants defense that absolutely fell apart the last few minutes of the fourth quarter.
New York should have won.
I think it's the coach whose job is on the line.

In OT, he tried to pull one ball back and it ended up being a lateral, threw some passes at his receiver's feet and tossed an INT into a situation he had no business throwing the ball.

He just completely ran out of gas when it mattered most.

Chuck Knox's final season was McGwire's first season. Started him for one game and benched him at halftime. So Behring and Flores forced Knox out. Then they went 2-14 the next season with the Kelly Stouffer, Dan McGwire, Stan Gelbaugh highlight reel.
Gelbaugh was a championship MVP quarterback. Must be your fault you couldn't make that work.

Chiefs are 0-2.
I've always liked Andy Reid and Pat Mahomes. I'm kind of sad to see them fall like that, but it's the circle of NFL life. It's other teams' time to shine now.

And on a very petty note for my part, any opportunity to see Travis TayTay seethe is a good consolation prize.

I wouldn’t bury the Chiefs just yet.

49ers got lucky, but good win in NO. These injuries are going to be tough to work through but I heard something last night that Purdy might be back sooner rather than later. That's good news, and Robinson will have one more week of his suspension and he will be back as a go to reciever with Persall. Right now is really about treading water, but then they are 2-0 and that's great.

Falcons make Younghoe Koo inactive for game 2 after he missed the game-tying FG in week 1 and his replacement goes 5-for-5. Doesn't matter how elite Koo was, he's not elite now and it's time for the Falcons to move on. Kickers are like closers in baseball with how fast they can flame out. That's the life.

I'm thinking they should to continue to focus more on rebuilding their team than spending a metric ass-ton of money on a new stadium, but what do I know?
