Danny Dimes!!

Much like Richardson, he has a ton of talent. Problem is that he is also more cerebral (much of it coming down to he just has had a lot more training at the QB position over his life), I think a lot of times he simply is frozen with indecision in the pocket.

Jones is a guy that seems incapable of just gripping and ripping it.

I don’t understand the Colts thinking? Anthony Richardson is your number two QB, that desperately needs reps in game action.

So, in the final preseason game, you play Riley Leonard?

Richardson is starting to remind me of Trey Lance. Highly touted QB that might turn into a bust mainly due to inexperience.

Richardson had the greatest pro day of all time. His one season as the starter in college wasn't anything special. Completion percentage isn't going to go up in the NFL.

The coaches fell in love with pure athleticism. Richardson, one year starting in FBS football. Lance, one year starting in FCS football. Brock Purdy, four years starting in FBS football against Big 12 defenses.

I don’t think most folks were rooting for Richardson to fail, but I think many expected it. Just too much historical evidence against bringing in a kid with limited college experience and expecting him to take off. Especially considering how mediocre his college career was.

Some of the first round QBs who only started one season of D1 -- Mitch Trubisky, Dwayne Haskins, Kyler Murray, Cam Newton, Trey Lance, Anthony Richardson, Mark Sanchez. Mac Jones and Ryan Tannehill were like 1.5 season starters.

Akili Smith here in Cincinnati.

Ryan Tannehill was a bit remarkable. Not an all star, but was serviceable. Was primarily a WR for a portion of his college career.

Here's a bit of an oddity. Brad Johnson, 7 career starts at Florida State and a 9th round draft pick. Wins a Super Bowl and is in the league until he's 40.
