NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

Bengals defense is heading towards historically bad. Wonder if they might replace Al Golden? Whatever he’s preaching, the players aren’t buying it.

Bengals need to trade Trey Hendrickson and get something for him. What's the point in keeping him when they have no intention on re-signing him next year because they don't want to pay him?

Of course, knowing them, their asking price will be too high and no one will trade for him.

Jayden Daniels leaves game with gruesome arm injury and he's done for the season.

I love this guy, seems to bring the right attitude to the field. His frame always scared me. While QB’s don’t get hit the way they used to, they still get hit.

If the report is accurate, I wonder why he was still in the game, down 38-7 in the fourth quarter.

Every time he goes out into the field, even if they're down, Daniels always has a smile on his face and an upbeat demeanor about making the next play happen. If a play goes bust, he's usually the first to admit his own part in it. He truly seems to simply enjoy doing what he's doing - something missing in many professional athletes of any given sport.

I'm very sad to see this turn of events. The many parallels between his career and RGIII eerily continue. I hope this doesn't kill his nerve to give his usual 100%, but as has been the case of many that came before him, physical injuries can heal, but the psychological shadows of those injuries can last a lifetime. Wishing all the best for his recovery.

And Mariota? He's okay, I guess. He's certainly not a dumpster fire as we've seen elsewhere around the league, but he definitely doesn't have the presence and leadership qualities that Daniels demonstrates effortlessly. Unless there's some kind of Christmas Miracle™ coming early, I'm thinking Washington's probably done for the season. :(

Yeah, the best all around performance by the Seahawks on offense and defense is marred by an injury in junk time.
The game was over by the fourth quarter. The coach should have benched Daniels to preserve him for the Madrid game.

Backups are backups for a reason. Brock Purdy and Kurt Warner are rare exceptions to the rule. Then you have the occasional journeyman who lights it up the first couple games but turns into a pumpkin if you ask him to do it long term (Nick Foles, who had one great year as a starter, picked the best time to light it up in the Super Bowl but could never make something happen again when he was up for the starting job on new teams). Mason Rudolph, Chase Daniel, Josh McCown, that's the usual backup QB.
