NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

Has anyone ever played themselves out of the Hall of Fame? I thought for sure Wilson was on that trajectory, but Denver, Pittsburgh and New York (you know he's going to lose the starting job before the season is over) will be all anyone remembers about him. If he had two Super Bowl rings I'd say he's in, but he doesn't.

That is an interesting question. If he plays himself out of the starting quarterback job in New York, then his career is potentially over. I don't see any major league team wanting to pick him up, even as a backup QB. He could end up as an network analyst, or try for a coaching position. If he is voted in to the HOF, it would be by the slimmest of margins.

The football hall of fame isn't always about career numbers either. That's how you get players like Kurt Warner and Terrell Davis who were elite in their primes but really didn't play that many seasons getting in. Eli Manning will eventually get in because his name is Manning and he won two titles in New York. If JJ McCarthy has the same career for the Vikings, he's not getting in.

I've seen a lot of crazy SNF games over the last few years. This game might be the craziest. What a come back from Buffalo.

Reporter says Daniel Jones is the first QB in the 21st century to lead his team to a score on every offensive possession.
