That was not a fun game to watch today for the Niners. When half your offensive core is injured, that's what happens. I still think the Ravens game last year was the worst game Purdy played, but this was not a great Sunday. Looking forward to when some guys come back, even though Shanahan fears Ayiuk has a torn ACL.
Russell Wilson has three TD (two in the air) and the Steelers win by a large margin. He can't run like Fields but since he's a significantly better passer he stays as the starter.

Watson suffers a probable season ending injury to his achilles tendon. This is his second one, and it's highly probable he might not even return to football.
Which doesn't sadden me. I don't wish injury on anyone, even someone as despicable as Watson. But this whole Watson situation with the Browns is a massive lesson in how not to do things.

Me too. He is an amazing talent (and a lot more likable, IMO), but yeah, I do see a lot of parallels between his career and RGIII's.

I don't think they need him to be a big deal, just a healthy contributor. For a fifth-round pick, that can become a fourth, I think they made a strong deal for someone that can help them.
I have no idea why he was the emergency QB last week, beyond not hurting Deshaun Watson's feelings.
I still think if Watson hadn't been hurt, Winston would have been traded. Watson having a season ender changed everything.
It depends on what the team wants for the season. If they think they're still in it, start Winston. If they think they're out of it and want to get a new QB in the draft, start Dorian Thompson-Robinson (but not this week since he's hurt).
Same thing with the Giants. They know they're a bad team, the season is lost and Jones isn't the answer, but there's no reason to put Lock in and accidentally win a few games that will hurt which QB you can draft.

Tua Tagovailoa returned to the Miami Dolphins practice field today. He's still not cleared concussion protocol and said in interviews that he refuses to wear a Guardian Cap to protect him from further injury, saying it's a personal choice, even though his teammates have urged him to wear one.
This will go badly. The NFL and NFLPA need to get together and change the rules to require players who have suffered concussions to wear a Guardian cap if they want to continue playing.
Personal choice in this situation is bullshit.
