NFL 2024: Chiefs Kingdom Targets a Three-Peat

I'm fine with that. The days of starts playing any meaningful time in reason are long over. Adding more games won't change that. Just get rid of i all together.

And really, the first few weeks have been ugly going back to the late 90s. Preseason is dumb. 20 game seasons split into two 10 game halves with a league wide bye in the middle is the way to go.
 
Preseason is not about starters for the most part outside of a little. It's about seeing the players on the edge of being kept or cut in gametime conditions.

And 20 game season sounds like absolute madness without bigger rosters or serious rule changes.
 
Bryce Young is starting to look like a Zach Wilson-level bust. Threw for 86 yards, today.

How do you figure? They make way more money off regular season than preseason?

They're already laying the groundwork with the changes to practice squads and how the IR works.

Well Bills argument was that more preseason would make play more sloppy, so I wad addressing that. But, news flash, preseason games do not factor in as much in roster decisions then some seem to think it does, which is why year after year you see preseason heroes not make teams.

Leaving a weekend open in the middle of the season, is leaving money on the table. If there is a 20 game season, there will be 21 or 22 weeks of games on TV.

They don’t care about players health or safety. As Thursday Night Football shows.

They're eventually going to have to 18 games, 2 preseason games and 2 bye weeks.

49ers better work on thier 3rd and long coverage because it was a disaster today. I think that was one of the big reasons why they lost (And giving up a 97 Yd TD to Jefferson). Also, this was not Purdy's best game. Aiyuk better show up eventually because preseason time is over.
 
Mike Tomlin likes to give out "petty game balls" when their players beat their former teams. So Russell Wilson got one even though he didn't play.

Meanwhile, the New York Giants made history. They scored three touchdowns, allowed zero touchdowns, and still lost in regulation.

I wonder if Dave Tepper has learned his lesson, and stay out of football decisions.
 
If this is the course Young remains on, he'll surpass Leaf and Russell as the biggest bust of all time, considering what the Panthers gave up to get him, who they passed on, and especially if Caleb Williams turns out to be a star.
