NFL 2020 Season: We're gonna bite a kneecap off

The Miami Dolphins QB room has been an utter disaster since Marino retired.

Jay Fielder was okay, and didn't really cost us anything. We passed on Drew Brees' twice, in the original draft where we took Jamal Fletcher #22 overall, then in free agency when he left the Chargers. Then we dealt a second round pick for A.J. Feeley to replace Fielder.

Gus Frerotte was a tackling dummy along with Sage Rosenfels until we dealt another second round pick for a washed up Daunte Culpepper. We then went through some more tackling dummies, including John Beck who we spent a second round pick on.

We got Chad Pennington in 2008 as a free agent, and unfortunately he was injury prone. But he had a great season. Then we spent a second round pick on Chad Henne, who ended up not really working out. Some tackling dummies then did some fill in work until we drafter Ryan Tannehill in the first round in 2012.

After that, we ended up trading Tannehill for a fourth round pick and dealing a second to Arizona for Josh Rosen who barely saw the field in his short time here. Ryan Fitzpatrick did an admirable job holding down the fort until first round pick Tua Tagovailoa was tabbed as the starter. Who already seems to be on the hot seat.

And here we are... probably forever wondering the desert looking for the next Dan Marino.

Denver’s the same way - looking for the next Peyton Manning. Their new young QB Drew Locke is...okay. Not sure if he has the potential for greatness (or even goodness) but he’s trying. Too many injuries keep the offense from doing its job and he’s been injured several times from frequent sacks. Sadly, Jolly Saint John Elway seems more interested in doing advertisements for local mortgage companies than rebuilding his decimated team.

And I’m not even going to bother getting into the comedy of errors the Washington Whatevers still are.

A fatal flaw. Dan never won a Super Bowl.
Why do we worship him?

Bengals are going to start Brandon Allen over Ryan Finley on Sunday. The guy who was on the practice squad until this week. :guffaw:

Going to be a long six weeks for Bengals fans.

Dallas has so much talent, I struggle to see how Mike McCarthy survives.
