So! Another season is upon us... The combine and the draft have both come and gone and the pre-season is right around the corner. How did your teams make out this year?
Denver is sounding good with Joe Flacco being brought in after leaving Baltimore. Surrounded by guys 10 years his junior, yet he still seems to be acclimating well and moving into the de-facto role of leader. They really need someone who has the experience he's got to unify the team. Recent QB's since Peyton's departure have been lackluster at best and at worst, complete shit. Doesn't hurt to walk through the front door with a big-ass ring on his finger, either!
Washington? I haven't really heard diddly-squat about their pre-season escapades. Usually there's some drama in there somewhere, but all I've heard that Gruden is pretty happy with the picks that were made during the draft. There was a rumor that the "Hard Knocks" series was going to feature the Redskins this year, but Jay Gruden tweeted something like, "If they were smart, they would to Oakland" and, lo and behold, they did, to go visit his baby brother Jon!
I think Case Keenum has healed up enough to ride in the center seat again but haven't heard much about it. Certainly not the ballyhoo of QB drama that permeated my team in seasons past. Kind of a blank slate this year. So who knows?
