I'd watch a Gambit movie starring Holloway, sure!
Actually, after sitting through Wolverine, I turned to Hubby and said, "They should have cast Josh Holloway as Gambit."
So, yeah, I'd watch that film.

I like Gambit but I don't see him as a character that can carry a full length film. He's more of a supporting character than a lead role.
^geez would it have killed them to give him the right color eyes? it doesnt seem too hard...

However, I don't have an issue with Deadpool. The deformity, teleportation, healing factor are all things I know him to have. I have no doubt they'll get rid of the arm blades & optic blast for his film. However, all this is the catalyst that makes the character go off the deep end and become the crazy Deadpool we know. I think it would be dramatic to see him rip the blades out in the film.
The eyes did glow a kind of purplish-red when he first triggered his abilities. Generally speaking, though, actors aren't keen on people messing about with their eyes. They feel it diminishes their expressiveness.
