I expect DIS is doing well enough to make it to a seventh season. I think it'll be LDS or Prodigy that end first, though I'm thinking it'll be less a cancellation than a change in premise - LDS will probably transition to a different show as the main cast begin to rank up, or Prodigy might become more a Starfleet Academy show once the kids actually reach the Federation.

I’d guess DSC would be the first to be sunset just given that it’s already headed into its 5th season. SNW and PRO are just getting going. LD is relatively cheap and popular. I don’t see any of them going anywhere.

I do wish there was more buzz around PRO, though. It’s really well done and it deserves far more attention than it’s getting.

Disco simply because of its age. I think they will try to hit 7 seasons to match TNG, DS9 and Voyager.

I'll say Disco will be the next show to end, with the condition that we don't know when it'll end. Regardless if it ends after the coming fifth season or if it does ten seasons, I expect it'll end before any of the other current shows does.

Assuming they do. Boimler's fate already demonstrates that the LD powers that be have no interest in realism regarding character rank. They'll probably promote some of the characters when the series ends, but not before.

Prodigy might become more a Starfleet Academy show once the kids actually reach the Federation.
Prodigy is a possibility in this poll because its current premise is quite strong, but will likely be resolved. How will viewers like where it goes next?

One thing about static shows like TNG and VOY... and LD, for that matter: if you have an audience that likes what you're giving them, you can rely on them to stick around.

Disco simply because of its age. I think they will try to hit 7 seasons to match TNG, DS9 and Voyager.

That seems reasonable. With any luck, all four series will last as long as they need to resolve themselves, and come up with a satisfying conclusion. Unlike Enterprise.

I have to go with the consensus: Discovery. It's already going into its fifth season. I'm still of the opinion they'll do seven and wrap it up. Anything less than seven would make the Fandom Menace salivate too much, making them think they "won" some sort of "victory". They'd love it. So I hope Discovery lasts seven seasons to deny them that.

Prodigy is another possibility, but I don't know how they do it these days. In the '80s, most cartoons didn't last that many seasons. It wasn't about the seasons, it was about the episode count. That's just the way it was. I don't know if now is any different.

I'm guessing episode count matters less now that syndication scarcely factors into the picture anymore.

Discovery. My guess is that some cast and writers will transition over to the academy show, if it still happens.

A couple people said SNW might be next. While I support the right to all opinions, I'd be interested to know why they think a show that's garnered the response it has would be in trouble.

I can see SNW lasting a good long while, but I can imagine Anson Mount and other cast members leaving at some point and new people being brought in.

People keep saying SNW will turn into a Kirk show (i.e. a reboot of TOS). That may or may not happen. Personally, I hope it doesn't, at least not until season 5 or 6 at earliest.
