Out of the 3 remaining rumoured series, which one do you think will be announced next?

My money is on "Starfleet Academy" - this series writes itself, and if Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage can get the right balance between the Star Trek lore and the appeal of Riverdale, this would be a huge entry point for new audiences. Also paired up with Batwoman, it could be a huge night of scheduling for The CW next year, if it doesn't stay at CBS AA. The CW are presenting at TCA today so perhaps we'll hear something?
 
Not excited about any of these. If Picard is successful then maybe they do series based on other characters: Riker, Data, Grordi, Worf, Troi, Wesley, etc.
 
I expect the Starfleet Academy series to get announced next. Picard happen first because it's the biggest out of the rumors. Doesn't actually mean it will be the most successful out of the rumors though. How that shakes out will be interesting. Since there are showrunner names attached I think the academy series gets announced next.
 
I'd rather have a free spirited Captain even if he's not part of Star Fleet per say but to seek out and explore just the same and to act as an Ambassador to if need be, sanctioned by the Federation of course.

I thought Wesley was off exploring other plains of existence with the Traveller. Why does he now become a captain?

The Picard series could be about his teaching and or running the Academy.
 
Give me Buffy/Smallville Trek, with young Kirk, Spock, McCoy and the rest saving the universe between classes and dealing with coming of age stuff and I'm happy.
 
Not sure if it will be any of those and tbh I hope they DONT put anything new out for a while.

We have Discovery, the new Picard show and JJtrek 4 on the way, plus possibly the QT movie.

That's more than enough, QUALITY over quantity. Please
 
Supposedly they had already picked out showrunners for the Starfleet Academy series.

On the other hand, we know Nicholas Meyer has actually written something already for the Khan miniseries, even if just plot outlines.

Thus my guess is (presuming they get greenlit) that one of these two will come out before the animated series.

While there is something to be said for striking while the iron is hot, I would think that TPTB would take a cue from 90s Trek and not blow their entire wad at once. Nobody wants another bout of franchise fatigue.
 
Looks like these series would be exclusive to CBS AA. Probably a good thing, as I would want them to be TV-MA.
