Next Movie (Spoilers)

Nero's Shadow

Captain
Captain
Well is it safe to say that batch will be back in the next movie and carol Marcus ? So thoughts people what's the next movie plot ??? And do they already have it ???

They beat us over the head with the Klingon war threat I imagine it'll be about that. I'm expecting Wing Commander III ;-)

I'd like to see a Klingon conflict that involves more than half a dozen guys.

For some reason, I don't think it'll be a direct Klingon War situation. I think it'll be them out exploring--and possibly running into Klingons out there. But I could be wrong.

I think Lindelof said that we'll see more of the Klingons next time. Personally, I'm tired of the Klingons and don't want to see them or a war. If they're indeed going that route, I hope they can jazz things up enough so that it's not just "Battle with the Klingons". Praxis impacting Kronos was a good hook. And if that was indeed caused by Section 31 and Khan, even better (it could bring back Cumberbatch too). Throw in some smooth-headed Klingon spies and a Klingon love interest for Kirk and I might start to get excited again.

I'm going to assume, with the way the movie ends, that it'll pick up in the middle of the five-year mission. So there's limitless possibilities for storytelling!

I think it may be too soon for Khan to reappear as well. But I wouldn't complain if Cumberbatch came back. Whenever he does, he will seek revenge!

Yeah you're left with 3 hints - 5 year mission, Klingon war or return of Khan.

I'd like to see something in the middle of the 5 year mission, something new altogether would be good.

Ideally, I wouldn't mind seeing something with James Callis as Trelane.

If he does come back, I can see him in a reduced role doing some Hannibal Lecter-style consulting.

Hmmm....that would be intriguing. Starfleet's probably too worried about him breaking out again to do that though. But we shall see!

It begs the question: who knows about the location of Khan and his cohorts? Only a select few I'd bet.

A Klingon assault on Earth (or an colony world), Khan is revived when things are desperate. Agrees in exchange for freedom for himself and his crew. Kirk and company are far away on their 5 year mission and learn of this and "come home" to intervene as they know Khan better than the idiots who struck up a bargain like this one?

Only top men know where he is. Who? Top. Men.

Batch is guaranteed Boxoffice.

By the time 2015 rolls around, Cumberbatch will be a worldwide superstar, not the emerging star he is now. And it's the twin roles of Sherlock and Khan that will have made him who he is.

Paramount will pay good coin to get him back.

Remember what they did with Q in Next Gen? The key to Khan is to make him Kirk's Joker.

Only they'll do it at the end of the third episode, to lead into the 4th. Next ep won't be Khan, they don't want to lean on Cumby like a crutch. It will be the last scene of the movie, the cliffhanger, when we see him.

I would like to see Kirk and Carol get together to have the payoff of having her here. I would like to see Kirk as a father, and exploring some of the apprehensions he has being Captain of a ship and having a responsibility to David. Hearken back to not having his own father because of his duty as a Starfleet officer.

I would like to see Spock hand-wring, or change off-screen, because of his emotional outburst after Kirk's death, possibly ending the relationship with Uhura as a consequence. Becomes more Vulcan, closer to the guy we know from the Original Series.

I'd like them to encounter something that is dangerous, but different than the last two films where the aliens speak perfect English. But my fear is that they are going to go to war with the Klingons and Kirk will be in some sort of mission to end the war, that's top-secret.

I'd like them to do some wrap-up from this last movie in the first act. For instance, if "The Dark Knight" was their aim, we hear a lot about what happened after Bruce Wayne after the events we last saw him in the beginning of the "Dark Knight Rises." Gotham's at peace, Wayne never leaves the manor, he's physically broken, no one knows who Harvey Dent really is, etc.

I would like to see a more mature Kirk, honoring Pike's death (anniversary, etc) and spilling his guts about what he's learned and what makes him a better Captain now, how he's honored his Starfleet father's words to him. I'd like to see them build some reason for why Transwarp beaming can't be done. I would like an investigation talked about into Section 31 and some of the changes (positive) in Starfleet to make sure something like the Vengeance never happens again, and then using that new peace, to put Starfleet in jeopardy again when things have just gotten good.

Those are some initial thoughts about what I would like to see. I doubt any of it will happen (except War with the Klingons). I think they'll continue to rip the universe apart and show us that Gene Roddenberry's vision is just dead. Nero changed all of our lives for the worse and we'll never be the same because of it.

I can't be the only one that wouldn't mind a return of V'ger, can I?

I don't want V'Ger because it's anti-climatic. But something V'Ger like where we have to learn what it wants, what it needs, how to communicate with it or face extinction, that would be awesome.

Possible we might see what many have clamored for...fleet battles with the Klingons on the BIG screen(think SW fan JJAbrams-ROTJ). I don't know, I have a feeling they will go in a different direction.

If Carol Marcus is still serving on the Enterprise in the next movie, wouldn't it be more logical to make her the science officer and Spock exclusively the first officer?
