It's not just pre-space seed.if that's the surprise consider me thoroughly disappointed while TWOK is one of my favorite trek movie i just couldn't give a damn about him pre space seed nor do i care about a trek set entirely on earth
Well, depending on when in the 90s it takes place.Since the "Space Seed" prequel takes place in the '90s, they should have Kurt Cobain in there.

I'll be honest, I had been completely ambivalent to a Eugenics War prequel until now. Now, I'm interested AF.It would obviously be an altered 1990's. Cobain would probably end up as a resistance fighter.
Indeed. It's hard to figure out what would make this interesting. Khan being a dictator on Earth is probably the oddest thing to say "Oh, Star Trek!"if that's the surprise consider me thoroughly disappointed while TWOK is one of my favorite trek movie i just couldn't give a damn about him pre space seed nor do i care about a trek set entirely on earth
So, a topic about a genetically engineered superman becoming a dictator is a timely topic? Is that what we want to discuss in terms of genetic engineering?Since the Nobel was just awarded for genome editing, the topic would fit perfectly
This being a risk has been brought up in every article I sawSo, a topic about a genetically engineered superman becoming a dictator is a timely topic? Is that what we want to discuss in terms of genetic engineering?![]()
So, how is that related to Star Trek and optimism about the future? This being a risk has been brought up in every article I saw
Same relation as Borg invasions, WW3, Dominion war, and eyes getting ripped out.So, how is that related to Star Trek and optimism about the future?
Not seeing the correlation. Because Khan is basically saying "We can genetically engineer people but they will become dictators." So, genetic engineering, which already had an uphill climb with GMO, gets another knock because a show that features genetic engineering a superman immediately just highlights only the worst possible outcome.Same relation as Borg invasions, WW3, Dominion war, and eyes getting ripped out.
They said she's gonna be the leadJaneway's coming back on Prodigy? I'm actually pique by this show now. Will she be a regular or is this just a cameo?
you do know how khan and the others ended, right...Not seeing the correlation. Because Khan is basically saying "We can genetically engineer people but they will become dictators." Cool. At least Borg invasions I know can be fought back against. The Dominion War there was the promise of succeeding despite the odds. Eyes being ripped out can be repaired.
This?
This is just highlighting the bad.
Whelp, at least Discovery won't be constantly harangued as "the most depressing Trek show" any more. For now.![]()
