News? Stories from Dubious Sources

A link to the source? I mean FB doesn't mean much to me. Who wrote it? And is he or she an insider with a good track record?
It’s the Production Weekly group. Discovery renewal and Section 31 info was correct, it was ordered to series, then delayed but given a 2nd season. They’re right about a killio

I think it makes sense to try and pump out more animated content to tide people over TBH. It's a lot less dangerous to make in terms of COVID-19 risk than live action.

Maybe an animated movie? That way they can have classic / dead characters back and crossover, without it being too odd. I believe ViacomCBS have permission to use likenesses too.

I know I don't make it easy for myself in the slightest, but it's now really frustrating talking about behind the scenes stuff that I come across, so I'm going to stop. I'm just going to talk about Discovery and Picard as a casual fan.

My final dubious leak: The producers behind Halt and Catch Fire have pitched a Star Trek miniseries. Set in 1992.

Please continue. There will always be people who don't believe things, unless there are official annoucements. And yes, there are lots of people who make things up, but it's up to the reader to accept insider stuff or not. Just don't go into discussions with people who don't want to believe. Those discussions are pointless. Insiders can't deliver proof. We'll know in some months or years if the insider stuff was true or false. Keep it coming, I'd say!

Its honestly nothing personal that people may be skeptical over what you present. We have had our share here of "inside sources" post their news, some of which turns out to be true, but the majority does not. Its not easy for someone to simply say something is true. But proving it is true is something totally different. And that takes time and not everything actually materializes. But I agree with @Visitor1982 . Keep posting them.

That article says a Star Trek Pike series has been officially confirmed. I see no announcement from CBS anywhere about this, so how is it official?

Supposedly a Defenders-style crossover is in the works. It's kind of a no-brainer that they'd do something like this at some point.

Unofficial source is unofficial.

You claim to have inside information but were being coy about mentioning it. Then you acted all pissy when people doubted you. So no offense, but you pretty much brought it on yourself. The frustration you feel is self-inflicted.

Here's a rule of thumb about this place: If one has inside information, they should either just say what it is, or don't say anything at all (as in, don't even say that you have inside information if you have no intention of sharing it.) Saying one has inside info and then doesn't reveal it and just lords it over us makes one look rude and annoying.

That sounds completely uninteresting. And why is anyone 'pitching' ideas to CBS? Doesn't CBS have their own creative team for this type of thing?

Yes, I'm stopping.

It sounds like it was about the Eugenic Wars. Scrapped and being reused in Section 31.

Same lady leaked this is what happens to Earth in the Picard S1 finale:

So the idea that there would be "Make Earth Great Again" types in the future that want to rewrite history makes sense. But this is rumour. If Earth is destroyed in the Picard finale, then I'm personally going to stop considering these dubious.

Sounds like a load of horseshit to me. But then, we’ll all know in a week.
