News? Stories from Dubious Sources

I didn't say I'd like the concept. It sounds more like a temporal agents kind of show than an actual Section31 show...

We’ll see the ship in Discovery. Possibly at end of episode 1. Edit: Or even in the next trailer we see.

The leapfrogging KennyB seems to be referring to is only 3 months, if SNW films from January, and S31 from April.

That is what it is. It’s not a series about Section 31 from DS9 or what we saw in Discovery. I reckon the Emperor just calls her crew that because it’s what she knows.

I don't think we'll seriously know anything about Section 31 until DSC S3 is finished or close to finished. Going into any type of detail about S31 is inviting spoilers for Discovery.

I used to think S31 would take place in the 23rd Century but between their adamantly saying Discovery isn't going back and Starfleet Academy supposedly being on "New Earth", I think they want to build up the 32nd Century.

Want to. Picard and Strange New Worlds are there as alternatives in case the 32nd Century doesn't go over well. But, IMO, this is the third generation of Star Trek, so it should be taking place in a third era.

I don't know if a close to 1,000-year jump was necessary but since it takes us passed Braxton and Daniels, there's nothing previously known ahead of where DSC and its spin-offs will be. Not including "Calypso", which I'm almost 100% sure they'll figure out how to fold into DSC this season.

The inside info shtick reminds me a lot of cold reading. You throw out as many ideas as possible, grab on to any that come close to being hits and hope everyone forgets the litany of misses.

Although I guess if the "insider knowledge" comes from just reading rumors elsewhere, then maybe it's more like hot reading? Eh, either way. :)

Updated the above list with today's info. The Streak Productions unit will be mostly working on Three Pines, and the Wind Cleaver unit work on Clarice.

Three Pines has relocated from Quebec to Ontario, but is set in Quebec, which makes it an interesting move.

A masked YouTuber called 'Overlord' claims "sources" told him CBS wants to sell Star Trek, is trying to get rid of Alex Kurtzman from managing Star Trek and that Discovery has effectively been cancelled with its sets dismantled. If you believe any of that.

Oh, it's Doomcock! Out of all the youtube anti-Trek crowd he definitely has the best name :D

He has been saying that for many, many months... And all we officially get is even more Star Trek series from Kurtzman & co. That guy is an idiot.

He lost credibility as soon as he said that CBS wants to sell Star Trek. Even if Star Trek was making them zero money, they would never sell the IP. They would just give a license to someone else to make Trek stuff on their own (such as them giving a license to Paramount to make the Kelvinverse films.)
