New Zealand 90s kids sci-fi show?

Okay, I've been trying to remember this one for years, but to no avail. I remember that I used to love it, but the memory of it now is so vague that I'm getting to the point where I think I've made it up!

I remember watching it in the 90s, and it was a kids' show, made in New Zealand. There was a girl from another planet who started hanging out with this other girl - I'm not totally sure why but I think she was on the run.

I don't remember much else, but at the end of the first series, the human girl is injured. The alien girl takes her with her to her own planet, and then I think the second series was set on this other planet. Perhaps just partially, or even totally.



So yeah, does that ring any bells with anyone? I try searching on Google but my memories are so vague that nothing useful is ever returned!

Btw, for this particular hallucination, I'm eating double stuffed Oreos.

I watched the show again recently. It's still quite good, although basically a bughunt, but the second season is a lot more thought out with the whole time paradox dealy and actually having the story told in a couple time zones.

The little boy grows up to be in mirror mirror which I wouldn't mind watching again too.
