New version of The Twilight Zone to be on CBS All Access

Just got AA back. I watched the last two episodes of TZ and I have to say that they are much better than the first 8 episodes. If Season 2 is going to be more like these, I'm all for it.

I really enjoyed the Astronaut episode, it felt exactly like a classic episode of the original series. Most of them did really, but it’s really the stand out. It and the Christmas one with the stranger visiting the isolated Alaska town.

This show is a complete disaster.

40% audience score lol. This is a disaster comparable to Batwoman, which is one of the worst user rated shows of all time!
Audience scores these days are mostly BS. There's no way to prove that any of the people rating these shows have actually watched these shows, and it's been proven that there have been targeted campaigns against certain prpjects (Black Panther, Wonder Woman).

Two movies that are still highly rated...

Cool. There should be something for everyone. I just hope I don't have to sift through 9 duds to find a gem, though.

The thing about audience scores is that they're disproportionately represented by people who loved it the most and people who hated it the most.

Other things on CBSAA worth watching. The first two seasons of The Good Fight are very good. The third season was bad. The fourth season is currently airing. Jury's still out, it's not as over the top ridiculous as season three, but it's focused around a major conspiracy theory about a 'Memo 618' that apparently allows rich people to force judges to just shut down lawsuits.

The first two seasons balance the merits of The Good Wife with pontificating about Trump. Season 3 and 4 have gotten louder and louder with the pontificating.

Also just sheer # of reviews compared to viewership of a piece of media. If something gets a ton of angry negative reviews but wasn't actually watched that much ... that's suspicious. For example, season 11 of Doctor Who (the first one with a female doctor) got ten times the reviews season 10 got, most of them atrocious, with viewership not actually up. It's unlikely that that happened organically. And I say this as someone who found season 11 of Doctor Who atrocious.

And as someone that's really struggling to get through S1 of this iteration of the Twilight Zone - some episodes of been mediocre, a few have been decent to good (I found Replay strong in particular), but in general, the writing is just ... really, really bad. Just now watched Not All Men, and ... it's not just that I find the lacking finesse frustrating, but I get the feeling they didn't even think their moral lesson of the week quite through here.

I've actually been enjoying the new Creepshow program more. Maybe it's because it's not afraid to be campy and silly while still engaging?

Our free trial of All Access ends tomorrow. What are your top episodes of the latest Twilight Zone? We already saw the Steven Yuen episode.

Thanks
