So every time I pop in here, I have the same thought. Well, more the same mental image.
All of us just sitting around, twiddling our thumbs, as we sit on the front porch of some run-down shack. We're looking down a long dirt road every 15 seconds or so to see if anything is coming. We sit, we twiddle, we look.
Every once and a while, we see a trail of dust from up the road and get all excited, "something's coming, something's coming!" is shouted, and everyone prepares for a big event. Trailer, picture of the Enterprise, publicity stills from the film, a massive major spoiler.
And then, when whatever it is finally arrives, it's nothing. It's just some crumb like we've been getting for what is it, two years now? Nothing of substance. A passer-by, a tourist, somebody lost on the way to the interstate. So we sit back, and we go back to twiddling our thumbs.
Anyone else feel as such?
Anyway, because of my mental image, I thought perhaps a new slogan for this forum might be in order.
"Trek XI Forum: Come twiddle your thumbs and wait around with the rest of us!"
