New TOS WIP

here's a few images of a new TOS ship I'm working on. It doesn't have engines, a deflector, docking hatches , shuttle bay doors,or textures yet. The shuttle is also just a temp. Let me know what you all think. I welcome any comments, criticisms, or suggestions.

Very intriguing!

This reminds me (at least somewhat) of NCC1701's Apex-class starship. The Apex was further developed by Starscape and thesovereignman.

I hope you keep developing this design.

I'm almost tempted to recommend that this ship gets no warp engines, just a pair of impulse engines and then used as an interplanetary yacht. I like the bridge with all its windows -- very reminiscent of the bridges of ocean-going vessels.

What purpose does that alcove serve? Are you going to tuck more machinery into that space? Where does the equipment for engineering go? What is this ship intended to do?

That's a helluva lot of windows right there, almost TNG levels of glazing. TOS at least didn't wallpaper the place with windows, which makes this one a bit of an anomaly. Unless it's a sight-seeing vessel I'd back off a bit on them.

I like this ship! Maybe because it reminds me of one of mine... Regardless, I love the windows- very clean looking. And the shuttle fits, so why not keep it?

I would like to see some warp nacelles on her though. Hopefully you'll experiment with some nacelles and placement arrangements.

Remember, a ship this small is going to either A) use alot of enternal space for storage/equipment or B) have a very short mission time.

To me, the ship looks like some kind of dockyard vehicle, a very function over form look to it. Maybe it's a tug? Sea going tugs have that same sort of tall profile. Yea, that could be cool. Replace the shuttle bay with impulse engines, put some grapple, towing apparatus in the undercut, some big honkin' warning lights and it would look awesome!

The lines remind me of the little one-man (or one-ape, depending on how you look at it) shuttle from the remake of "Planet of the Apes", on an upscale.

I like this one. I'm assuming the Nacelle Pylons will be coming off of the top? I'm starting to really like these smaller ships... it's nice to have something different.

It's been a busy week so I apologize for not responding sooner. I still have no idea what role/purpose this ship serves but I appreciate to complements. I'll try to post updated pictures in the next day or two

I like it a lot. And the illistration is great. However it does seem a bit small to have a shuttle bay. Is it warp capable? If so where's the nacelles? Are you adding them at some point- I understand this is a WIP. The bridge looks quite big for such a small ship. I would imagine all possible space would be required to house equipment and ship stuff, giving it a submarine feel closed space.
