CRRT's mining of the archives has brought forth another thought-lost piece from the old man...

'New' JRR Tolkien epic due out next year

I like Arthurian legends almost as much as JRRT, this might be cool...

I'm very curious about this. I enjoyed The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun, and I'm curious how he dealt with the Matter of Britain. It seems to be be a much longer poem than was rumored; reports had "The Fall of Arthur" as 954 lines, but 200 manuscript pages would work out to something many times that. I'm especially curious about the editorial matter that's supposed to draw links between Arthur and Middle-Earth. I wonder if there will be a matching edition of Tolkien's Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.

After this, I think the only major Tolkien work left to be published is his translation of Beowulf.

That's great news. I liked Tolkien's The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun and the way his son is presenting/editing the work.
And for some reason I have completely missed his Green Knight, so now I have something to read until this is published.
