New To Voyager

I forgot to mention that I really liked Dark Frontier. . .
I don't have that season yet, but have the episode on the Borg Fan Collective. I watch "Dark Frontier" far more than any others in the set. My favorite moments involve the music motif composer David Bell uses for the Borg ship scenes. It starts in the teaser with the Waking Borg sequence, is heard again in the holodeck tactical exercise, and returns again for the actual mission.

Voyager's in firm second place for me, only because I saw TOS in its first run.

The Borg are just plain creepy. Their appearance and the "one collective voice" they use to communicate... Totally freaks me out!

Lost was so long ago, I recorded the first two seasons on VHS tape myself for prosperity.

"Blink"

Seems like 10 seconds ago.

I consider it a wake up call to any conspiracy upon conspiracy crapola. Once I realize that a show is using Reveal of the Week as a crutch I'm out of there.

Of course I should have learned that lesson with Alias.

When did you figure out that Alias was just like Batman?

Every episode ends on a cliffhanger, same Alias-Time, same Alias-Channel?

Lost is awesome and only entitled soap opera fans were really mad because it didn't have some guy with a mustache show up and explain everything directly to the camera. They just weren't used to shows that expected them to think on their own.

The reference is just that the same actor who played an Equinox crewmember played the original form of the smoke monster.

Equinox Part One ended with a space dolphin sinking it's teeth into Janeway's neck... And then there were problems with Mulgrew's contract.

Lost was crap, getting crapper and crapper as time went on. Had they gotten rid of Kate and the doctor (whose name escapes me because, crap) and had they not castrated Sawyer by making him all puppy woowoo eyes over Kate maybe it would have actually had characters worth sticking with. Though as I understand it the writer's strike is to blame for the pablum.

Locke was a great character.

Sawyer provided me with the biggest guffaw tv ever gave me, that was early season one.

But in many ways I never recovered from my disgust that they did not eat the polar bear. HELLO FOOD?!

I read somewhere that the issues regarding her contract was that she wanted to work less so she could spend time with her kids. Apparently they resented her being on Voyager so much, because they barely saw her, that they never watched it.

You just have to wonder how the threat-script they gave to Kate would have went that Ransom wound up as Voyager's new Captain despite being a mass murderer who used the Federation's principles as toilet paper.

I resented it every time they called it a mission.

I suppose you can send yourself on a mission, but then that adamantly does not make it Starfleet's Mission. Starfleet's mission was to bitch slap Chuckles, stick him in chains, nuke his base from orbit and go home.

Seems like an all round fail given a justifiable timelimit.

Well bleh. I find reminding myself that I'm on a mission very helpful during the more unpleasant parts of life. You just keep the part about who ordered that mission a secret.
