New to the site - USS Skyhawk

Hey guys,

New to the site - glad to have found it! I'm a relatively new Star Trek fan. I was introduced to it by an old friend and I am just now getting around to watching the movies and have been slowly trying to watch TNG and Voyager series and no longer watch anything else on TV. I have a lot to learn, but I'm really enjoying it. I respect what Star Trek has to offer - it is an excellent reference to what the future may be like and its values truly inspire me. I've enjoyed doing what little research I've done on the ships and everything else pertaining to the Star Trek universe. I've been working on this the past few days - it's a fictional sister design to the constitution refit class.

and a very Nice design there and fits very well to the late 2260's and early 2270's of the Star Trek of the "Prime Universe"

Here are a few more. I'm about to start working on a new ship but I feel as though this one was a good start. I'm fairly new to the 3d computer art as well, so I'm learning a ton about the software and star trek at the same time - got a lot to learn!

However, and this is just my opinion, but having the nacelles be fatter in the back than in the front makes them look like someone put them on backwards.

I have a lot of studyin' to do.

Can anyone recommend a good diagram that lists starship parts/systems etc? I keep wanting to ask questions about particular pieces that I sadly, don't know the names of.
