New Time for TOS-R in Indy

Tuning in at 10:35, as always, I discovered that they were showing a lousy made-for-TV disaster movie, not the latest TOS-R episode. Bad enough that WISH-TV 8, which used to show the previous week's episode at midnight on Saturday nights, no longer broadcasts the series - now it looked like the only alternative was to find ... alternative means. But checking WNDY-23's website, it now appears that they have moved the series to 9:00 on Saturday nights - prime time! I don't know if that means they've had such success with it that they think it's worth giving it a better time slot, or if it means that 10:35 is actually the better slot and they'd rather put something else there and fulfill their Trek contract by shuffling the series to a time when most people aren't watching TV even on the major networks.

At any rate, I still missed "A Taste of Armageddon" (for the umpteenth time, of course ). Maybe next week ...

reminds me of how often new TNG and DS9s were pre-empted for stupid-ass ball games on channel 59, back in the day. or of how often TOS reruns were pre-empted for stupid-ass ball games on channel 13, WAY back in the day...

Perhaps coincidentally, WOR in New York City aired this week's episode on Saturday afternoon, rather than Sunday early evening. It was more convenient for me to have it Saturday and I hope the trend continues. Either way it's a lot better than WNBC running it at 3:30 am Sunday night/Monday morning.

All stations that show TOSR in a bad timeslot should be baked over a roaring fire and then poked with sticks.

I continue to be blessed by a good time slot, Saturday at 10pm with a Sunday repeat. But the competition is a bit less and there's less sports in the Portland market.

I think the 9 PM airing in Indy was a fluke and perhaps the WNDY-23 website is incorrect (at least that's what I'm hoping). Although "A Taste of Armageddon" was on at 9, "Tomorrow Is Yesterday" was on last Saturday on WNDY-23 at 10:35 PM. Sorry you missed the revamped Eminiar VII two weeks ago, Ptrope--it looked FANTASTIC!
