Believe it or not my bud Jeff (who swears up and down Sisko is a best Captain ever - When I always say Picard hands down) has sent me ten emails today about some word going around L.A. about a new Star Trek Captain!!!!! I'm from the Mid East so I don't hear stuff like this.
I know I don't post here but I'm trying to find out more about this. So I hope somebody can help!!!! I'm really excited here so forgive me if I mistype....
[FONT=Times New Roman]So I have been really down about the end of Star Trek and I just can’t get into the whole prequel movie thing they are doing now. I have been telling Jeff for years that they need to bring in Jonathan Frakes and make a Titan show!!!!! But his cousin is an big agent and he said that it would never happen because he said if they did make another Trek series it would be of a completely new cast because the crews of DS9, STNG, and Voyager are too old now. So this week Jeff has been going crazy saying that his cousin had some information about the possibility of Star Trek coming back to life in a new series because of this man they found who has kind of a blend of Kirk and Riker to him in his look and personality. At first I told him he was crazy although he did know Picard was going to fight himself in Nemesis way before I had any clue. So Jeff sent me a bunch of links and I was like WOW!!!!!!! I saw his picture and I could just imagine him at the helm of a new Enterprise or another awesome named Starship! Now I’m a HUGE Picard fan and not as much of Kirk but this new actor I think reminds me of Captain Riker who I love! And he looks as big as Worf with his muscles! [/FONT]
[FONT=Times New Roman]Now I’m no comic book guy but apparently this actor guy is being looked at by Marvel to be Captain America (yeah go figure he could become a Captain but not the Captain I want him to be)….So I hope Marvel ditches him and we can get this new Trek series going!!!!!!!!!! [/FONT]
[FONT=Times New Roman]I could see maybe even having a new series called Titan and I say bring in Jonathan Frakes and have him as the Captain and maybe the new man as his 2nd in command! And just like Picard gained command of the USS Valiant have something happen in the first series premiere and the new guy would take over and there would be a new crew! (I’m not saying have Riker killed! Just have something happen like he gets promoted to Admiral.)[/FONT]

What do you guys think!!! Have you heard anything about this new idea for a new series!!!!!!!!!!!
