New Simon Pegg Interview (Beware: Spoilers Ahead!)

I've heard two different sides of the coin from "general audience" non Trekkers.

"Looks awesome" and "They're trying too hard to be "cool."

Differing opinions... we've never seen that before in the history of humanity.

No matter how loved or hated a TV series/movie/novel/comic/video game/music album is, you will find people with directly opposite views. It is what makes humanity interesting.

I'm just saying that everything i'm seeing is very mixed, and the reasons for that are totally understandable. Even the previous two films in the reboot series had fairly conventional teasers and trailers with the more classical, sweeping scores.
