New Series Starts Shooting Next Week

Well as long as they don't let Matt have any input on his costume, we should be okay. Man has the fashion sense of a twelve year old. :)

Well Sylvester McCoy wore a straw hat to his audition and TPTB lliked it.

Tennant's real shoe's became part of his wardrobe.

Smith's been wearing a lot of scarves in the photos we've seen.....

Hmm... scarves, you say? That might be an interesting "thread" for them to follow...

I must say, though, I don't think his fashion is that bad aside from the last picture. That purple sweater is waaaaay too Mr. Rogers for me.

By all accounts he was saying quite early on that he wanted his Doctor to have a scarf...suspect if he does it will be a more sedate affair than Tom's

well he'll wear the costume he's given, he might have some say in it but on the whole if they want him to dress like Colin Baker he has little choice in the matter!!

Y'know, I picked up on that too, so I wouldn't be surprised if a [short] scarf was incorporated into his costume as well...

those pretty much look like what Connor wore in Primeval, and I didn't see people bitching about that.
I think it's because it's a very contemporay style and people believe that the Doctor should look like a man out of time as opposed to some dude on the street. The 9th Doctor had his WWII jacket, the 10th Doctor had 30s/40s suit (though the less said abou the blue version the better). so I'm hoping that 11 follows suit. Maybe an 8th Doctor Victorian style?

Then good news, no need to complain. This is not his costume, it's his own clothes, ya know the stuff her wears when not at work.

They're saying that they hope he doesn't have input into the costume because of his own fashion (non)sense, not that he's not allowed to wear what he likes in his own time.

It's still bitching and moaning about nothing until we see what he's actually wearing. Pointless.

I don't mind his style, it looks good on him (with a few exceptions, but you can't please everyone). I agree the Doctor shouldn't look that contemporary, although it might be interesting if he did for once. A scarf would be nice. So, in summary, I'm open to pretty much anything. (Do I have to give back my Who fangirl card, now?)

Another lucky fan ran into Matt Smith who was wandering around Cardiff Bay again yesterday, only this time in the company of Karen Gillan.

Definitely a good sign that they're hanging out together while not at work, but I hope they understand they're not going to be able to walk the streets (mostly) unrecognised for much longer!

that fan was VERY lucky, im very jealous, why dont they film Doctor Who in Peteborough, we have loads of empty shops we would not miss if the Daleks blow them up.
