First one staring Sigorny Weaver, said to be on a streaming service.

Wow, looks pretty good. I loved District 9 but I was disappointed by Elysium and merely enjoyed Chappie. Hopefully this will be an reinvigoration for him, although I certainly see similar trappings from his previous works.

Could be interesting. I enjoyed both District 9 and Chappie, the only two of his movies I've see, so he a good track record with me.

Hmm, the wording in the trailer makes it seem like maybe Blomkamp directed the first short and the rest will be by other people. (Or is it just me?) Still, definitely worth checking out. I've enjoyed all his movies so far to varying degrees.

    Anyone else seeing a not-Ripley, a not-Hicks, a not-Newt, and not-xenomorph?

Looks to moi like someone decided to go ahead and make that Aliens 2, Ridley's permission be damned: :p

Having sat through turgid mess that is Covenant, I'd love to see Blomkamp's take on Alien after this even if it just as silly.

I don't think he'd be as visually stylish and 'deep' as Scott. But he sure as hell would be a helluva lot more fun.

Well this is looking way weirder than I expected.

Eh...the cinematography was beautiful as were the special effects, but the dialogue and editing were choppy. Not much of a coherent story beyond "the world is fucked...is there hope?"
