Which time or era do you want the new series to take place in?

This is out of genuine curiosity of the mindset of the Star Trek community as I haven't seen any other threads asking this question with a poll. Care to leave your explanations below.

After the TNG era. I'm not interested in prequels, reboots or remakes of old episodes. 100-200 years after Nemesis would suit me just fine.

I'd rather have a brand-new timeline, so as not to be constrained by the movies and not axing STO/TrekLit. But I'll love Series 7 anyway.

Of those options I'd go with post Nemesis. This would definitely be my first choice, with a series set contemporaneously with the JJTrek movies a close second place.
I'm not fond of the anthology idea and anything but a prequel, please.

I'd be excited for a post-TOS series set before TNG. Maybe 40-50 years after TUC. There's a lot of rich possibilities to explore in that timeframe.

But my first choice would be a post-Nemesis series...a couple decades after the destruction of Romulus.

Nothing in the JJ-verse. Leave that to the new film series. And definitely nothing set prior to TOS. Been there, done that...disaster.

My first choice would be an Abrams-verse show that would allow more exploration of the world, and other characters besides the main ones. The advantage of a series over a film is the fact that you can have fun episodes, or more character specific focuses rather than one or two characters in a film.

My second choice is post-Nemesis, though I personally think that might lead to a dead end in terms of storytelling or the expectations of TNG era alumni (Data, Worf, Sela, etc). Also, would be curious to see what they would do with technology.

First choice ENT era or within a decade of "Terra Prime". I'd strike "These are the Voyages..." from the record. Do the Earth-Romulan War, Birth of the Federation, with no certainty of anything shown in their finale. Change the uniforms. Refit the NX and redesign certain elements of the 22nd Century. Reassign certain crew members, showing them elsewhere in Starfleet, guest-starring occasionally and bring in new ones.

So while still being practically a century out, I guess Pre TOS (Before 2265) is my nearest option.

My preference would be post-Nemesis. I'd love to see some guest appearances by characters from past shows.

Having said that, as long as they put out a good show I won't care.

^ I was gonna say that. As it is, I picked JJ-era, just because I know how unhappy it makes some people.

Would prefer post TNG/DS9/Voyager but will in all honesty settle for anything as long as it's well done.

If I had a choice, I'd love a post TNG/DS9/VOY series, perhaps 100 or more years after.

Having said that, as long as it's good, it can be anything. It's not important.

First pick was the post-TOS/pre-TNG time period. Could even set it on either the Enterprise B, or the early Enterprise C.

Second pick would have been post Romulan War.
