New series: Enterprise-B or -C?

I wonder if the new series will be about the Enterprise -B or maybe the -C? Since it was hinted at a direction after TUC, I suppose it could be a possibility. We know very little about the history of those 2 ships so I could see an attempt made to fill in the gaps of their history.

But...I don't think I really want to see that, they have to put a new spin on the show somehow.

I think it will be a different ship, different crew. Familiar, but not the same.

We've had enough rehash of what's come before. Let's see something fresh. Canon, meet window.

Again I will point out that there was no hint of any kind that the new show will take place after TUC. Nick Meyer only said that the tone of the show is going to be in the style of TUC as far as the political atmosphere goes. He also mentioned that he didn't want to be misquoted, which seems to be the case here.

It could well be set after The Undiscovered Country, if that is a "touching stone" for Bryan Fuller as Nicholas Meyer said.

It's my favorite Trek movie, thats for sure, so I was overjoyed when I heard that.

But I'm thinking full reboot, and a Klingon Cold War.

Doubt it.
"I think let [the Enterprise] be the movies and let that be their story. I would love to do something on the Reliant [from The Wrath of Khan]...

Words straight from the mouth of Bryan Fuller.

A series set on the Enterprise-C would be a bit of a downer, wouldn't it? Knowing what will eventually happen to them?

I welcome a new series set after TUC, what a great idea on Meyer's part.

If the E-C was around for many decades it wouldn't have to be a downer to have her as the hero ship, unless we see the ship during Garrett's time in command of her.

Personally I'm hoping for something set 20-30 years after the Berman era. But please, no more Enterprises.

lol Tosk.

But just to clarify: It was nobody's idea. Meyer just made a comment that he compared Fuller's ideas to the politics seen in TUC, and all of a sudden everyone and his brother now thinks we're getting a post-TUC show.

People take stuff way too literally sometimes. But they didn't read your other posts on it so don't be disappointed if they don't read that one too. :)

My excitement level would be the same for a post-TUC show as it would be for a post-Nemesis show, zero.

Honestly at this point I don't really care where or when it's set, as long as it's good.

I'd still want it to be good, that is the first factor for me. But in the run up, neither of the two things listed would make me enthusiastic.
