New Series Based On The Popular Star Trek Online Game. ??

Since playing the online Star Trek game I was thinking would this be a good place to start a new series ??? It would be nice to see how they would cope with Romulan star system supernova the war with the Klingons ?? Etc Etc so many ideas and story's could be told . ??

Popular? Infamous: Second Son is popular. Titanfall is popular. Star Trek Online exists and from what I've seen, wouldn't make a very good basis for another series.

Never played it so can't say. But from what you outlined I think I'd pass. I don't fancy another Trek War.

Yeah as much as I like playing the game and having my own ship(s) it really is about pew pew pew more than what made Trek really great. I mean there are a few missions that are close but they always degrade into more shoot em ups. I think it would be interesting if you got extra points for being able to avoid a battle (maybe something based on your diplomatic level?) Look at Species 8472, they are an enemy but Janeway made peace with them, it doesn't make sense.

Anyways aside from all that what it really comes down to is the extension of the TNG era with new ships different uniforms yet more of the same.
