New Season 2 epilogue comic announced

I don't know. Given we're basically on a course correction to preserve canon here, I think Disco is likely to stay in the future, with the Section 31 show taking on stewardship of the 23rd century. Since everything there is classified top secret, they don't need to worry about canon there.
As stupid ideas go, the idea that canon needed saving is one of the stupidest. Thanks a lot Alex.

What if every season (reaching here) they end up in a different time? wasn't that the initial pitch for the show anyway?

Not exactly. The original pitch was to do a seasonal anthology series in which each season would be set in a different era of Trek canon. It would be somewhat like American Horror Story, using the same actors each season but having them play different characters.

Though never verified, there are rumours that the original plan at the end of the first season was that when Disco left the Mirror Universe they would end up in the 24th century as opposed to nine months later we got instead.

Georgiou needs to get back to the 23rd.

That's certainly possible too. No way to know for sure until it happens on-screen.

Does she? We don't even know what timeline Section 31 show will be in.
I'm of the opinion that bit in the finale's epilogue scene where Faceless Admiral talks about restructuring Section 31 and making Tyler its new director is specifically meant to be setup for the Section 31 show.

I wouldn’t read too much into it. Rest of the epilogue looks like a setup for Pike series but it definitely wasn’t.

So, no Pike TV series?
Assuming that something has not already been agreed its probably going to be a matter of money and possibly creative control to make sure that there will be some stability in the writers room after there being a lot of disruption over the last two years.

I will be surprised if they havent already locked Mount, Peck and Romijn in if it is there intention to go forward with the show.

It really depends on whether or not a Pike/Enterprise show fits in with their overall plan for the IP.

Even if there wasnt originally a place for it I wont be surprised if they find a way to do it anyway.

They could make a fortune on merchandising alone, with new models of the Enterprise and D7 plus technical manuals for them.

I thought Georgiou was supposed to be the lead? Maybe they're going to place it in a different time?

I've actually thought a bit about this. My theory is Georgiou ends up going back to the 23rd century and learns her existence has been erased from the official record along with everyone else who was aboard Disco and the ship itself. Tyler recruits her into Section 31, knowing there will be benefits to having an agent who doesn't officially exist in the records. Her success will eventually develop into Section 31 removing itself from official records so that they can become the organization we're familiar with from DS9.

This set-up allows Georgiou to be the lead with Tyler being her desk-bound boss, much like Stargate has Colonel O'Neill as the lead and General Hammond as his superior.
