It's about a 40-mile drive from Paramount Studios, but within 10 miles of the eastern part of Santa Clarita, and just half a mile from the small town of Agua Dulce, literally across the street (Escondido Canyon Road) from the park. And 40 miles would be an effortless hop for a 24th-century shuttlecraft (or even 23rd-century surplus).

Naturally, the reason it's such a common filming location in the first place is because it's fairly close to LA.
