I still say the 12th pic there reminds me of the Cytherians from TNG: The Nth Degree

I think he looks a LOT like a young Shatner in a lot of footage... particularly (and oddly enough) when we mainly see his eyes as he is descending..before he deploys his chute. I think they made a good casting choice.

startrekmovie.com has the 3 new images in their gallery but much bigger versions
Spock looks plastic.
Maybe they did it on purpose, to make the action figures look more realistic.
