Interesting that interviewer and interviewee both refer to the character being introduced in the Xmas Special, when this had supposedly been debunked. (I’m guessing a cliffhanger cameo to lead into a trailer for series 10)

Gotta be honest, not happy about that, either. Would've been a neat surprise.

Maybe it's like a Clara thing, we didn't really get the "real" Clara until Bells of St. Johns (Although she had a short cameo at the end of the Snowmen). Although it'd be nice to get a regular companion for a change, one that doesn't have some great pre-ordained destiny to fullfill.

If anything, I suspect it's something similar to that, a brief cameo in the Christmas special.
